Very Superstitious

Hi. So I know my activity has been shitty at best, especially since I wasn't really online for about a month. My plan was to be more active when I got home from my trip, but I have this type of amnesia where I basically repressed two and a half years of my life and now some of it's coming back. It's emotionally and physically tiring, and some memories are bad enough that it takes a couple days to be okay. If I had to guess, based off other times I've remembered a lot at once, this will probably go on for a month. Dealing with these memories in a healthy way is always my absolute first priority when this happens, and I'm sure you guys understand but I feel really bad that yet another thing is keeping me from posting.

I originally came here to announce I was quitting, as you guys deserve a more active Brittany than I can be right now. But I see activity in general has slowed down a bit so I feel less guilty about how little I've posted. I want to stay and RP when I can, and try to be on unless it's just one of those days where it's not in the cards. That being said, if it doesn't work out and I'm really never here, I would not blame you guys for finding a new Brittany.

Sorry for being so AWOL the last few weeks - a couple of unexpected RL things recently came up and I was dealing with some fairly severe health-related issues BUT I think I've got things more or less under control now. I got back from the con on Sunday and had a migraine, and then I've been busy yesterday and today with packing for vacation. (PSA: Don't plan your two biggest summer trips to be only three days apart. You will die) Today I have to make brownies for my family's lunches while we're on the road, go get my hair cut, stop by the library, download a bunch of music and some fanfics for the road trip, go to work for a little while and I'm not even done packing. I might make an appearance tonight, but basically assume I won't be on until tomorrow and that I'll only be able to RP from my phone for the rest of the month.

Also, I had to get a new AIM. So if my username could be changed from "alchemiotaku" to "accio.colfer" on the contact list thingy, that would be very much appreciated :)

Hi everyone~ I was talking to Sebastian's mun today about how we need to have the Warblers in some form or another and here is what I was thinking:

The Warblers is an all male secret society that has been around Hogwarts for a very long time. They have a lot of rituals and are very secretive about what goes on behind closed doors. They haze new members and things like that.

In public, they sometimes do singing performances. They are a big deal~ And super cool. It's a big honor to be a Warbler.

Anyone who is a legacy (their father or grandfather etc was a Warbler ) is automatically asked to join sometime in their first year. Anyone else can be invited to join any time in their seven years at Hogwarts. No one except the members know exactly how people are chosen.

If anyone has any changes/additions/ideas to this, let me know!

Sebastian is a legacy so he has been in the Warblers since his first year at Hogwarts. He got Blaine in a few years ago (exact year we need to discuss?) And Kurt, let me know if you want to already be in or if you want us to invite you and play it all out~ Anyone else who is interested in participating in this, let me know.

-I know this is a busy time for a lot of people (exams, travel, etc) plus a couple players have been absent due to unique circumstances, so we're going to push Nationals for one week. So the Nationals thread will go up this coming Saturday and the results thread will go up on Sunday. So if you haven't commented in the nationals discussion thread, you now have until Friday to do so!

-If you haven't posted a journal entry yet, I encourage you to try it sometime this week! These are an integral part of the game and are a good way to stay active without committing yourself to a full thread if you don't have time for that on a particular day.

-After Nationals wraps up, we've got a some great more magic-oriented plots planned related to the overall storyline, as well as things like exams and the Quidditch World Cup, so stay tuned!!

Omigod my activity has been so shit lately, and there's no excuse for that, but I just want to remind you all that after tomorrow I won't be on again until Sunday afternoon. I'll be out of town at an anime convention and I'll barely be checking RPs, if at all.

Hey all!

With the Glee Club hopefully soon to be on their way to Nationals (if Cooper Anderson can be outsmarted!) we should decide what songs the club is performing and who is singing them. They'll be performing three songs - two songs with 1-3 lead singers and closing with one group performance where everyone has a part. And remember that the better the song choices, the lead singers and the performances are, the better the club will place nationals!

What we need from you all in the comments here -
1. Song suggestions
2. How much of a singing role your character would like (given realistic bounds of a character's talent - we want to put our best foot forward!)
3. If they would want another role to be included in the performance in some way
4. Anything in particular you would like included for plot purposes (like Artie and Mercedes sing together during the group song and it sparks an attraction, etc.)

Comment by Sunday afternoon and we'll mix and match the best we can and the Nationals performance thread (assuming they get to go!) will go up Sunday evening.

(Also feel free to discuss any other plotting stuff if you're looking to thread or such)

My reason for not being around much lately is that I was busy over the weekend because of holiday stuff. Then I bought Sims 3 and my activity totally went to shit, I apologize for that. I'll be here more now (except next weekend, I won't be on at all because I'll be at an anime convention)

Sorry for disappearing the last couple of days! My mom came to town for Memorial Day so I had to get ready and all that jazz. ;)

Dear lovelies,
The universe hates me and does not want me to have pretty things. Like apparently my brand freaking new computer, which has gone back to the damn store since it has decided to not run the motherboard when it boots. It's still under warranty thankfully, and since I basically picked out each component individually and then paid the store to put it together for me (aka I am lazy) they're just waiting for a new motherboard to come in and then I'll have it back.

Like I said, pretty things and me are apparently not the will of the universe. But I'll have my work computer to use in the meantime so it might just take me longer than usual to reply back. Just not tomorrow since Monday is a holiday in Canada! Woot woot.

Gryffindor takes the 2011-2012 Quidditch Cup!

The game was long, the battles hard fought, and the bludgers dangerously close to the teachers entirely too many times - but congratulations to Gryffindor on their victory!

Just so you guys know, I'm gonna be out of town Sunday and Monday. Visiting a friend who lives in another part of the state.

It's the final match of the season - Gryffindor and Slytherin both go into the finals with two wins and a loss, and it's bound to be a great match!

Vote for your team of choice here - each player gets one vote, and as the vote counter I'll be abstaining unless there's a tie. Whichever team gets the most votes wins the match, and our winner will be announced on Saturday.
